Abstract
I really enjoy trying new things, experimenting and generally just filling a page with markings, patterns and visuals. Zentangle patterns was really what I first used when I started to draw after rupturing my anterior cruciate ligament. I knew I needed something to occupy my brain and time with endless sport no longer an option, and without yet building a belief in any real drawing skills, patterns and sort of doodles felt a good place to start. This developed to be able to create animal faces with shape but I still enjoy just drawing ‘flat’ zentangle pattern pictures, and have recently incorporated some geometric acrylic paint shapes in them too, which slightly draws upon and gives a Mondrian kind of feel to them.
